Dia De Los Muertos Festival in San Pedro
On Friday, November 1, 2013 the San Pedro Waterfront will be hosting a Dia De Los Muertos Festival. This looks like an exciting event with plenty of food, music, dancing, and artists. There will be a live performance from the Grammy award winning Mariachi Divas. There will also be a sacred altar exhibition and competition – the altar is a very important part of the Dia De Los Muertos celebration – honoring a departed loved one, pet, or celebrity. The Festival is from 5pm to 10pm on the Historic San Pedro Waterfront and Admission is FREE
Musical Theater West is opening their production of Young Frankenstein on November 1, 2013. If you haven’t seen this show before, it’s a comedy musical adaptation of Mel Brooks’ classic movie “Young Frankenstein“. Many of the musical numbers are derived from iconic lines from the movie; “He Vas My Boyfriend”, “Transylvania Mania”, and Puttin’ on the Ritz.” This production is rated R, and may not be suitable for children under 17. The show runs until the 17th of November. Ticket prices vary from $17 to $85, depending on date and section. Here is a theater map.
We hope you have a happy and safe Halloween.
