Still haven’t made plans for this 4th of July? Fret not, below is a list of some fun activities around Long Beach for the holiday weekend.

The Classic Long Beach 4th of July experience is viewing the fireworks lighting the shores from fantastic vantage points along the coast – with the ultimate celebration and view on the deck of The Queen Mary.

Celebrate your 4th of July in style aboard one of the worlds most famous ships. The Queen Mary is holding its annual 4th of July event where you can enjoy a stroll through history as guests will transported into different time periods with each step they take. Start off in a Coney Island style carnival, complete with games, attractions and entertainment. Next, move over to the Nashville tailgate and enjoy a live DJ, Country band and line dancing. End it all with some dueling pianos in New Orleans and a glitz and glam party, Hollywood style. Once you’ve enjoyed your trip through America, enjoy an unbelievable fireworks display with one of the best seats in town.

July 4th Late Night BBQ at the Aquarium of the Pacific (5-10pm)

Enjoy a delicious BBQ buffet and a front row seat to the spectacular Queen Mary firework display.

Fireworks at the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base

This is a classic, family friendly event at the Los Alamitos Training Base. Gates open at 4pm – bring a lawn chair and blankets, along with a picnic. Fireworks begin promptly at 9pm.  Entry is $5 per vehicle, and each attending adult requires a valid ID to enter.

Great American 4th of July Kids Bike Parade (10am)

Kids and adults alike are encouraged to decorate their bikes in a patriotic fashion and cruise the bike path is Long Beach.


4th of July Party at Cabrillo Beach (noon-10pm)

Live music, US military exhibits and fireworks.


Pier Pressure Yacht Party (7-11)

Three hour DJ dance party on the water with a front row view of the fireworks.
